"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Looks like this week WAS Minnesota's fall. Two weeks ago it was in the 70s, and tonight we are expecting snow. Yikes! Next week doesn't look very promising either. We decided if we were to do anything "fall-ish" at all this year it would have to be now! We visited a cute little apple/pumpkin farm just 5 minutes from our house. The kids enjoyed looking at all of the pumpkins, and Ryan and I enjoyed taste testing all the different types of apples.Yesterday I made a fall wreath from the bushes in our back yard. We'll see how long it lasts with this cold front coming in. :)
PS. I am feeling a lot better, and I am tempted to name this baby "steroids" (due to how large he is, and all the steroids that have helped me feel so well). Not really gonna do it....but tempted. :)
