"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Where has the time gone?

December and the first half of January have flown by! Here are some highlights that have happened since our last post:

1. Tyler's big toe. During one of the biggest snow storms that we've experienced in our 7 Midwest winters, Tyler decided he didn't need the top half of his big toe. Ryan quickly shoveled our long driveway so we could go to the ER while I held the toe on and loaded the kids in the car. It was quite the adventure.
2. California! For the first time in about 3 years Ryan's whole family was together. The week was filled with games, FOOD, treats, laughter, hugs, yogurtland, parks, ping pong, cousins, Pat & Oscars, Adam's homecoming, dress ups, In and Out, Christmas, the beach, Kamrie's 5th birthday, and much more!
3. Kamrie's 5th birthday! We can't believe our little girl is already 5 years old. We had a hot dog picnic in Gramie and Grandad's back yard (her request), and rainbow/flower cupcakes at the beach (again, her request). Happy birthday sweet pea!
The diva pose with her cousins.
Not the greatest picture of Kamrie, but we forgot to pack our still camera. :(
Birthday BBQ

In January we've been busy unpacking from our trip, putting away the Christmas decorations, and taking out the baby items. We can't believe we'll have another little one join our family in just 3 short weeks or less (they will induce me on the 9th if I haven't already had him by then). The end is in sight! Wish us luck!

Should I be concerned?
