"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

The latest and greatest

Here is the latest and greatest with the Gassin 5
Jacob turns 6 months this week!!! ..........!!! Where in the world has the time gone?! I can't believe it. He really is growing up tooooo fast. He is such a great little man. Good thing he's my third. If he was my first, I think I would have died with my second.
Tyler (the second): Where do we begin...? We often joke (but really are serious) about having to plant two gardens next year. One for the family, and one just for Tyler. In just the first three years of his life he has pretty much eliminated his chances of ever having colon cancer with the amount of veggies he has consumed. His favorite veggie: a whole cucumber. Not sliced, not peeled (washed? optional) --eaten like an apple or corn on the cob. Single handedly he has eaten dozenSSSS this summer alone.
In addition to being an enthusiastic eater, this summer he has also shown to be an enthusiastic soccer player and painter! Ahhhhh tyler, tyler, tyler. You are going to have kitchen and clean up duty for the rest of your life.
Kamrie: She just lost her second tooth! When I asked her if the tooth fairy came she said,"YES!! I saw her AGAIN, too! Although her dress was rainbow insead of gold, AND she has a new hairdo!" ;) She enjoys swimming, reading, and she is THE BEST big sister to these two little yahoos. She is so, so sweet.
Ryan: He is in his last ICU month of residency!!! Can I hear a big Whoop whoop??! We have our 9th anniversary this week, AND Ryan turns the big 3-2 this Saturday. Whoa. He's old. :)

Me: These guys keep me hoppin'! I recently signed up to take tennis lessons at the tennis club here in town. It's pretty sweet....and I'm pretty sore. :)
